Around 90 people gathered in the Filderhalle yesterday, Tuesday, to take part in Stuttgart’s PBS Day 2017. After a short greeting by the organiser and bit publishing manager Siegfried Alsass, the highlights lined up like a string of pearls. The event started with Markus Gürne, head of the ARD stock exchange editorial department and crisis reporter, who clearly explained Europe’s role in the changed world. Afterwards Ralph Chr. Hübner, Suberg Strategy Consultants, pointed out on the occasion of the motto of the day “Customer Journey – in the fast lane to the customer” that ultimately it is the emotions that decide whether a product or a brand is successful. No less exciting was the presentation by Wolfgang Greipl, Managing Director of Gominga eServices, which illustrated the increasing importance of Internet ratings in users’ purchasing decisions. Afterwards, Thorsten Paedelt, Managing Director Duo Schreib und Spiel, gave a deep insight into the successful Omnichannel activities of the trade association. Avery managing director Peter Sperl granted an excursion into a “Company Journey”. In his entertaining presentation, he placed the smartphone at the heart of all purchasing processes and encouraged participants to complement traditional business models with digital services. The crowning glory of the industry event was the rousing performance by Prof. Enzo Vincenzo Prisco, Director of Studies at the VWA Bochum. Using concrete examples such as the “Schwäbisch-Hall-Fuchs” and the “Salamander-Lurchi”, he spoke about the power of the brand. With unerring statements such as “I stand for creativity and sex”, he provided numerous laughs and at the same time illustrated how important the entire appearance of a company is for the perception of a brand.
